The NNRacing.com Crew
I am proud to present to you the crew that makes NNRacing.com possible and one easily one of the best NASCAR sim sites around. Please take a moment to allow each member to introduce themselves below.

I am Alan. I live in VA Beach. I grew up around the bristol area when I was little. My parents are from there, so short track racing is a drug for me. I got into painting when Nascar 2009 came out. I had played the PAPY sims before, but until N09 i had never considered making my own cars for the game. The game sparked an addiction for me. And here I am 3 years later. I love to paint. For me it calms me down. I can do this thing we all love for hours on end and lose my self in the digital canvas. I first came into the NR2K3 community at SRD. They put me on staff and in my time there I honed my skills. After 2 years it was time for a change of scenery and now here I am. I no longer belong to just one place rather I want to share my work with all the community. And the folks here at NNR have been kind enough to let me do that. I am looking forward to releasing many logos, bases, trucks, cars and anything else I can come up with here. So I will see you around out there. I hope you enjoy my work.

Well, it has been a long road to this point, but it has been a lot of fun. Those of you who have been around these parts for a while know who I am, but for those that don't, here goes.

In June of 1996 I opened up my site, "Alex's NASCAR Pit Shop," on AOL's point and click page creation tools. I sure wish I still had that page. It had a link to the IWCCCars Project, a link to NASCAR.com, and a link to Papyrus. From there I posted a few cars and soon enough built my first real site. You can still catch a working copy of it here. The site quickly gathered a following and in January of 1997, I purchased the domain nascarnet.com. The original purpose of the site was as a community site and portal to the best NASCAR Sim sites on the Internet. With support from sites like Speed, Pit Road, and several others, the site grew quickly. All the while I was maintaining ANPS. Shorthly after the release of nascarnet.com came the initial re-design of ANPS. Most of you probably knew that one if any. It was the one with the Black Background, bright green text, and old school wwwboard messaging. I continued to create cars for N2 and moved into track creation and editing. I had some help getting started from Gerhard and Dave Noonan as well as a few others and created USA Speedway and California from Tally and Michigan clones. I was always intrigued by realistic tracks that we could not have, so I then sunk my time into creating realistic versions of the converted Indy track.

Then came the dark days, sites began dropping like flies with all of the bickering, blaming, and name calling. The sites had outgrown their current measures and needed constants monitoring due to the outright sabotage from some members of our community. With little support for the site, I closed nascarnet.com and moved ANPS to the nascarnet.com domain. The state of the board and site overall continued to deteriorate, with almost constant name calling and flaming on the board, and six months between updates due to classes while I was in college. Towards the middle of my Senior year at Miami University, I decided to rebuild nascarnet.com and give it a hugely updated and modern feel and allow it to serve the purpose that I had originally intended as well as combine all of the qualities that ANPS originally had. So I began building.

At roughly this time TomM joined us to moderate the deteriorating old board. It seemed every few days an "I hate Gary C" thread would show up and need to be deleted before causing an explosion. I spent roughly four months of all of my free time to develop the site. I employed the community aspect of Discussions and File Sharing, as well as the full featured aspects of ANPS with News, Reviews, Links, and especially Files. The new site was launched in March 2000 shrtly after our 1,000,000th visitor. The site grew quickly through the summer of 2000 culminating with the visits of the Hasbro/MGI guys near the realease of HEAT. Once the Heat hoopla cooled down the site started to stagnate again. Then came the final push to get me back into the swing of things.

NASCAR Racing 4 was released and with it came a huge amount of freedom in painting and an overall greatly improved game. This game release inspired me once again to get back into the site and one more re-design, only this time much more minor that the previous ones. After a slight re-organization, a server change, and a whole bunch of great new team members, the site is now in full swing. I have had lots of fun over the past years and hope this little history lesson has been fun for you. Hope to see you around for some time.

I started on NR2002, then went on to NR2003, then to PSP9, which I have been using for one year or so. I started painting here in the summer of '05 and now I'm on the crew. I just recently bought Corel Paint Shop Pro X, which I have been using for a few months now. I really appriciate the guys here at NNRacing.com for noticing my talents and putting me on the crew. After I've been painting some cars for MicroProse's Formula One simulations Grand Prix 2 and 3, a friend of mine told me about Nascar Racing 4. He is a great painter and told me how to paint N4 cars. So I started posting my own cars in the NASCARNET upload library. Then I was asked if I wanted to be a member of the crew. So here I am. My business is painting fictionals and WC alternates. BTW, just in case you wonder, I've always been a Rusty Wallace fan.

Hey, my names Shane Dowell, I'm 16 years old, maybe the only person who lives in England on here, I play guitar, I have 2 BC Rich guitars, a Flying V, a Dimebag Darrell DB Razorback, a Dave Mustaine United Abominations V, and a Stagg X300. I got into NASCAR when I was 12, last year I got NR2003 for my birthday, before that I had NASCAR 07, NASCAR 08 and NASCAR 09, bad games lol, NR2003 was the NASCAR I had, I painted in game but just like the numbers and plain bases, I found GIMP which is WWWWAAAYYYY easier to use than PSP8 which I had to start with, got confused and gave up, the first real cars I painted were ones I made for people on YouTube, not the best haha, anyway, NASCAR is the best racing I've seen in my life, alot better than F1, my friends think its just going round in an oval all the time, its not about the track that makes NASCAR its the skill, the racing, and the drivers that make it what it is, I'm addicted to this site and addicted to painting ever since the Cup90 cars which helped me get where I am today :D

My birthday is 5/25/1963, you do the math. I have been painting cars since n3. Really got into it in N4 and my skills improved more and more when I got used to Psp7 and nascar2002. I enjoy painting and I like to paint special edition cars more than any other. Earnhardt cars are my specialty. I hope that nascarnet.com remains great and becomes the number 1 site for nr2003 cars.

I am 32 years old and have been on here for a good while now. I am married and have a 2 year old son. I have been painting since N1. My greatest accomplishments have been designing paintschemes for some Busch and truck teams, most notable the #33 and #77 Dollar General cars driven by Harvick, Stewart, and Burney Lamar. I also design cars for the #34 team in Busch. So far I have designed 7 cars that have raced in the Busch series. Drivers that have driven cars with my paintschemes are: Randy Lajoie, Todd Bodine, Paul Tracy, Mike Mclaughlin, Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Burney Lamar, Kurtis Davis, Jason Keller(DNQ at Richmond). It has been a dream come true to have had this opportunity. I thank the good Lord for making this possible!
